King Shantanu and Satyavati

When the fisher girl became the mother of a son, he grew suddenly before her eyes, and in a brief space was a man. His name was Vyasa; he bade his mother farewell and hastened to the depths of a forest to spend his days in holy meditation. Before he departed he said unto Satyavati, "If ever thou hast need of me, think of me, and I shall come to thine aid."

Bhishma at the Swayamvara

This would be a great story to tell through the eyes of the princesses

Amba
what just happened…

Pandu and His Wives
This was a strange story. It was crazy that it is so close to the other storyline.

I’m having a harder time following of the connections in this story. Remind myself to go back over and look and map out all the characters. I might do a mind map or something to help figure out what is going on.

I need to find one character who goes though development and struggles to eventually overcome a tasks. I am wanting to find someone who would fit into an entrepreneur role that I could modernize all of the inner struggles and obstacles they take to overcome and hopeful win. If anyone wants to suggest a character that would be awesome too!

  1. One character to keep an eye on would be Drona! He is born a brahmin, knows the ways of the warrior, and moves himself from abject poverty to becoming a member of the royal household (but that means he is also caught up in all that drama). There's an ACK comic book about him in the Library: Drona: Valiant Archer, Supreme Teacher (with detailed reading guide there at the link). It leads to an intense tangle because another very entrepreneurial person, Ekalavya, gets thwarted... badly thwarted... by Drona! Intense stuff. There's a graphic novel about Ekalavya in the Library also: Ekalavya And Dronacharya (Dronacharya is Drona-Acharya, Drona-Teacher).
