Week 4 Reading Diary A
The movie started off really strange. It was like a mind trip then it started making sense. I felt that they skipped through the early stages of the story fairly quickly. I thought the commentators were great. They had a light sense of humor. It was interesting to see them question the motives or true meanings behind parts of the story. I like that because I think I did that some on my own when reading the story. Also, the cartoons were well crafted. I understand the meaning behind the side modern story though it was a bit confusing. The melody got old fairly quickly. They could have done a better job with the song. It just felt like the same thing over and over again. Another thing I thought about was the interesting perspective was their thinking about Ravana as a decent man. I am not to sure about that but it was noted no the less. They had another view about Sita that she should have gotten over Ram. Not sure about that one either the lady commentator kept talking about unconditional love. I think she was right for her to continue to love him. Even if Ram was pretty hard headed at times.
