For me, I am coming into this class like a blank canvas. I've never taken a Indian course nor read their epics. It could be a little overwhelming to have no background, but for me this class is full of colors and tools to paint my canvas. Not only that, I'm in control of the painting and what story it tells others too. Something I am curious about is to see what medium I lean towards most. My plan is to mix it up until I find the medium that suites me best.

Thinking about my background in mythology, it would have to be in my interest in greek and roman mythology. Growing up, I loved to reading the Percy Jackson Series which pulls from both of those historical backgrounds. But, I have never taken a course about epics or mythology.

I am truly excited to dive deep into this course without any preconceived ideas or expectations. With there being no exams, I can focus solely on exploring the deep and rich storylines. Laura suggested to me that I focus on the technology twists on the story. I think I will see I can tie this timeless epics into our tech driven society.
