Week 11: Reading Feedback

Place I bought The Offering Source

  • How and why did you choose your reading selection? Are you happy with the choice?
    • The Offering The Story of Ekalavya and Dronacharya
      • I enjoyed the book a lot. It went into more depth about the characters.
    • Drona - ACK
      • This was the wrong book on amazon. Instead it was about Dasharatha.
  • What part of the reading made the biggest impression on you and why?
    • Learning more about some of the greyer parts of Drona. For example, how he favored the better students and how he went to extreme lengths to keep his promise.
  • Was there anything in the reading you did not understand? Did you do any research on your own to find answers to your questions?
    • In the end of the Offering, there were two characters that I weren't sure who they were. They seemed like Gods and I didn't research them.
  • Did the reading come with a Reading Guide? If so, was the Reading Guide helpful? If there was not a Reading Guide, would it help to have one?
    • I don't believe their was a reading guide.
  • How much time did you spend on the reading? (The goal is for the A/B together to take about 3 hours; it's the equivalent of going to class.)
    • It probably took around 4 hours to read the graphic novel. There are around 70 pages.
  • What specific format did you use? (Some options are available in multiple formats, e.g. print book or audio book.)
    • I got the ebook from Scribd for The Offering. I tried to get the ebook from amazon for Drona.
  • Did you buy your own copy of the reading? If so, where did you buy it and what prompted you to buy a copy?
    • Scribd. It wasn't expensive maybe $2. I would much rather have it with me on my phone then have to take it with me. I was able to read it at jury duty. I also go to stillwater every weekend and don't want to have to take books with me.
