A place to be honest.
I am glad I began early on this class because the first week went by in a blink! Starting early prepared me to figure out my week so this next week will go smoother. I am excited to see what I end up working on this semester. I'm ready to dive into some stories. As I said in one of my posts, this content is completely new to me. I will use this course to stretch myself and grow (growth mindset!).
Digging deep. Creating Daily. Thought struggling. Being Present.
These phrases/ideas have been recurring ponderings for the past six months or so. With my personal blog and the this classes blog, I hope to live these 4 things. I'm going to be conscious about them every morning. I should print them out and put them where I will see it everyday. Facts alone, memorization, exams, routine, predictability are what I associate with class. We do the bare minimum to meet the requirements to get the grade we desire. Self learning and growth has so much more freedom unless you are in an awesome class like this one! I want to use this freedom and run with it.
In Seth Godin's book, he talks about our fear of freedom. Specifically, he points out how it cripples us from taking our turn. I am tired of all of the excuses of tomorrow, leave it for others, and whatever else I think of that day. This semester I want to get down to business and work on a project I'm excited and on fire about. This next week I will be able to form more of a solid idea of what direction I want to go in. I know I will be inspired to by my fellow classmates and what they choose to work on.
